• District 33 extends from just below the Cowpens Battlefield in Cherokee County at one end to the South Tyger River in Spartanburg County at the other end?

• District 33's boundaries have changed considerably over the years?  For instance, prior to 1992 the district was located completely within Spartanburg County.  After the 2010 Census, the boundaries could be adjusted again.

• Since single member districts were established in 1974, District 33 has had only two representatives:  Democrat T.W. Edwards (elected in 1974) and Lanny Littlejohn (first elected in 1988)?
  
  
• District 33 had 16,647 registered voters as of January 11, 2010?  Of this total, 12,930 are registered in Spartanburg County with the balance of 3717 registered in Cherokee County.
  
  Of the registered voters, 54.21% were female.

• District 33 includes all or part of 21 voting precincts, and of these, ten are split precincts?  A split precinct is one where part of the precinct is in one House district and the other part is in another House district.
